My wesite is ranking in yahoo but in ranking in others

Pervious some months my site was ranking in yahoo and in all search engines. Now My website ranking in other search engines but not ranking in yahoo. I got large traffics form google but I worry form yahoo. How can I rank on yahoo. have any idea?

I've never seen much evidence for this. I don't use paid directories and always rank very well in Yahoo. Yahoo likes fresh content. It's the opposite of Google in this respect. Domain & filenames are given greater weight too.

i think paid directory is not good for any SE. for yahoo you need to more concentrate "on page factor" .

This looks familiar to me. First sites rank well on yahoo, after a while, when your site is optimised for Google (thats what every SEO expert does), you dissaper from Yahoo. Weird hah? Some time passes and you accedentally notice from your stats some rear visitor from Yahoo, hidden among your Google traffic. You will realise than that you are back on Yahoo!

Yahoo and Google rank their pages differently. They also a have different links to different directories and other search engines. Google uses over 320 different factors to rank pages, one of the most impotant is inbound links. So if your site has a lot of people linking to it that have high pagerank then your site will benefit more in google than yahoo.

LOL!! So you're saying "Google doesn't like fresh content" ??? What a nonsense!! Google loves fresh content and even crawls your site as soon as you publish a new word and it takes longer for Yahoo to notice it!!

Years into this I still do not 'GET' what it takes to get and keep Yahoo love. Am I just being paranoid but if and when Google starts to adore you -- Yahoo will drop you like an unfaithful lover?

I have yet to decipher or find the definitive post or article on TOP RANKING YAHOO *SECRETS* in a world that it utterly obsessed with Google. The only conclusions I've come to about Yahoo is this:

1. Using thier SiteExplorer webmaster tool helps at least see which backlinks Yahoo picks up on initially - especially helpful if you setup and promote a new site and see what shows up in the first 30 days. These are the sites I use to promote my next venture knowing Yahoo values them.

2. That Yahoo is far, far slower in picking up on a site and it's backlinks than Goog/MSN. Easily 2 weeks, usually 4 to even get the first nibble.

3. Yahoo __seems__ to prefer very SHORT simplistic keyword phrases that align well with it's pay-per-click advertisers: i.e. "Mac Webcams" "USB Speakers". Google seems to like far more obscure and long-tail 3-5 word key phrases for sure.

If somebody out there has the definitive 5 STEPS TO YAHOO LOVE - I'd sure like to hear it!

I want to receive some tips here too. My site went from page 5 to page 11 and then to nowhere in yahoo whilst it climbed from page 20 to page 10 and then to page 2 in google in the same period of time. I really have no clues. Any tips?
