No, just do the same thing you do for Google and you will be fine.

I don't think there are any tricks, but there are definetely some specific tasks you can focus you efforts to speed up the process and hopefully achieve results you are wanting.

I've worked on yahoo for several years, and recently reached top 10 for most main and secondary keywords that are specific to my industry/service/city.

If you put in the time working on basic SEO tasks, your efforts will eventually pay off.

I found that by focusing on things that we all already seem to know ....

* relevant backlinks
* quality content
* easily indexed navigation

... one of my main keywords comes up #5 on Yahoo and bounces around between #5 and #21 on Google.

Conversion rate seems to be about the same but overall Google delivers a LOT more visitors.

Yahoo will follow shortly when you got good rankings on Google..
But the algo update of Yoyo...do really shakes up the rankings..

My experience ( so far ) has been the exact opposite.

Yahoo ranked me #5 first.

Then Google put me at #5 ... then 21 ... and so on.

The Google Dance is still happening. I understand it has to do with Google syncing data across a LOT of different servers so I can buy that. I just hope that when it all shakes out, the servers that rank me higher win over the ones that rank me lower!

Meanwhile, MSN is showing me a lot of love as well as a number of other SE's and directories so I suspect that things will keep improving overall.

Yahoo gives some weightage to the onpage factors. So working on them may help in getting on top in Yahoo

Yahoo hit me..and my site is not yet being indexed..I did also experiencing the shake-boogie on G...my rankings say no. 20 then after few hours checking back again..#5 spot...though the keyword do really play at that spot..It drives me crazy throwing me to 20...plus have you noticed using the preference result 10 and 100 gives different result.. Yes same on MSN i do also get good ranking for most of my KW's..

I hadn't noticed that until you said something but yes, you're right.

It just gets more and more confusing, really.

All I know is that once you are doing well in Google, all the other SEs will follow suit; some say Yahoo is more particular about on-page optimization so it helps if you continue working on that aspect.

Yahoo seems to come up faster and more easily than Google. Just keep doing what you are doing without any special tricks for different search engines.
