Yahoo to Raise Domain Registration Rates

I just read on another forum (led-digest.com) that Yahoo is going to raise domain name registration rates drastically starting on July 1, 2008. The new rate is $34.95 per year. Yahoo was advertising $9.99 for the last two years or so, and in March of this year it was raised a few dollars, but the new price rise is out of the question.

I will be transferring around 15 domains and will be boycotting anything to do with Yahoo for now on. I think it would be good for others to "vote with their feet" and tell Yahoo what we think of this price rise (which in my opinion is a betrayal of trust in a previously sound brand name).
