Microsoft announced Sunday May 18th that they are in talks again with Yahoo.

Seems they want to join forces as we all know Ballmer thinks he can take down Google lol.......

Not sure if MS buying just the search part of Yahoo will work. I think they need it all, they are really looking to the Yahoo brand here.

Microsoft may be proposing to break up Yahoo according to an undisclosed informant as reported by Reuters and confirmed by the Wall Street Journal. Microsoft appears to be seeking to buy Yahoo's search advertising business, and - understandably - "Yahoo executives reacted lukewarmly to the plan".
