Is anyone doing anything with Yahoo groups for marketing?

i do yahoo groups myself not for marketing but more of a promotion eventhough some say that its an open source for spamming but they brings traffic to me and some of my postings became backlinks

Are you using discussion groups with your sig or sending ads to open ad groups if I may ask

no i didnt use sigs in groups, instead i make promotional ads and i put the url directing to the site/blog im promoting

I think yahoo groups can bring targeted traffic to a website. If you are using it in the right group.

Yahoo group may work well if you've good network with similar interest people those are in yahoo answer or in specific community. My point is- creating a strong group is important before you start using it as marketing tools.
