Default Yahoo Ambassador?

Has anyone become a Yahoo Search Marketing Ambassador recently? I took & passed the exam over 3 months ago and still haven't gotten the "profile page hosted by Yahoo!® Search Marketing" - the one that basically validates the fact that I paid $50 and passed their test. (FYI: I know these certifications are essentially BS, so please don't lecture me. My boss wants the logo for the company site...)

Yahoo and Kowabunga (the company that administered the test) seem pretty clueless on the matter, with Kowabunga telling me that apparently someone dropped the ball over at Yahoo and Yahoo subsequently pulling one of the "we'll get right on it" responses that has produced no results to date.

Has anyone else had a similar experience? How long did it take for them to resolve it?

Thanks,

pl

I think maybe you joined just as Yahoo was switching away from Kowabunga? You should have had the profile in 3-4 weeks, if it was average. I hope they help you get this worked out.

A few weeks is what I got back from a couple friends who went through it.

Hi phunklord,

I have gone through the same thing you did. It has been probably 4-5 months for myself and still no progress with anyone sending me the validation URL. We finally got so fed up we put up the Ambassador logo and just did not link it to anything. That probably is against their rules but then again if they can't follow up on what they said they would do why should we sit around for half a year waiting for them.

I have actually yet to see an example of a validation page for any Yahoo Ambassador. I know there must be a few out there that exist. Could someone post a link to where they have their Ambassador logo linking to the Yahoo certification page? I would at least like to see what I may get before I retire.

Thanks Hyperdog. Actually that is all I needed and so I can take your link and change the ID in the query from your id of 3068 to my id of 3885 and presto I have the Yahoo Ambassador link noone from Yahoo seemed to be able to give me.

phunklord this is all you need to do as well. Take the link that Hyperdog supplied and just put in your ID code that you should have received after you took the test.

Just a Joke:=

Sorry; I can't resist asking you to tell your boss "I'll only charge them $1.00 to link to my site, with a pass mark, and drive traffic to my site,"

I guess your aware of this.

Actually, isn't the response supposed to be, "We're working on it"?

Thanks for all the great feedback guys. I just heard back from them again and they claim I should be receiving it "this week". (NOTE: they also said that 2 weeks ago, and 4 weeks before that...)

Nelson, I tried the trick where you insert the four digit code that Kowabunga gave me into the string. It actually comes back as an entirely different company (not mine) with "This company has been removed." written across the page. They probably assigned me a duplicate number or something really ridiculous (read: careless) like that.

Laughable. A shaky product to start with AND crap customer service? Is it any wonder why Yahoo will always be #2 (and soon to be #3, IMHO). File this under "Whatever". Thanks again for all the feedback, guys. Later.
