Yahoo dropped the www from my domain name, does this matter?

i just noticed today that in the search results in yahoo for my keywords, my site comes up without the www. in front of my domain name. yesterday, and all other days, my site came up as www.domainname).com. today, its just (domainname).com in the results. how did this occur? is it important? should i do anything about it? i cant imagine that i did anything to make this occur. thanks all.

looks like a Canonical issue

do a 301 direct of the non-www to the www
