Default Click fraud haunts Yahoo

The company's partnership with Oemtec delivers ads to the Oemji software, and one customer has complained of click fraud coming from that source.

Default Yahoo and click fraud

David,

I was once hit by a click raid originating from the far east. I traced all the clicks to a Yahoo partner site. I complained to directly to Yahoo. A Customer solutions director dismissed my complaint out of hand. I recommended that Yahoo give advertisers the right to opt out of such sites - as Google do. The response was negative.

As a result I subsequently reduced my Yahoo account to the minimum £20/$38 per month.

The clamor for greater transparency seems to be rising rapidly. It's unfortunate greater clarity hasn't been forthcoming from the big two search advertisers. Maybe that's about to change.
