Yahoo is probably in the midst of doing a big update.
I lost many of my rankings as well, so did many other people.

Default Current Yahoo updates

Yahoo DID just do a few updates within the last month.

I saw my previous top 5 rank drop to a page 6 or 7 on Yahoo (Google ranks remained within the top 5). This took place about 2 weeks ago, or the last few weeks of July 2006.

But here's specific thing about this recent Yahoo update: the ranks that dropped were for an "inside page" I was using as optimized for a certain aspect of my business. The index.html still ranked well for the terms IT was optimized for.

But since it is the inside page's terms that make me more money, I re-worked the index page so it too was optimized for the money-making terms, and placed it's previous terms more towards the bottom of the page. Now, they ALL rank well. They money making terms are back into the top 3, and the "other" terms on on P2, number 11.

I was shocked when I saw how quickly my new code was re-listed, considering I just uploaded it 2 weeks ago, and since it was obvious they had just updated. But obviously the update was not yet finished, and they crawled me again, and re-ranked me again.

Hope this helps some folks.

Love,
Angelle
