Default google and MSN cache my site more often than yahoo. why?

hello,
google and MSN cache my site and recognise changes more often than yahoo.
further, they show the date of caching. but not yahoo.
so how can we find when yahoo cached the site?

i make changes to my site often and yahoo doesnt seem to recongnise the changes though everyday i find more links added to my sites when i see it using
link:http://mysite.com in yahoo

and how to make it cache my site often?
is this possible only by building more links?
thanks

Why does it matter how often Yahoo's cache is updated? Does this effect your traffic and rankings currently on Yahoo? Also which website are you referring to that is not being cached often enough?

Default Me too!

Hey Crush123: I've notcied the same thing time and time again and then with our older sites that we don't make changes on that often Yahoo seems to catch up. I just think the google and msn boots are more active, while Yahoo seems to index more links.
Yahoo just seems a little slower, but in the long run I still wonder how much it really effects organic traffic.

Yahoo doesn't have a cache date, so you could embed a date into the footer of your page to see in the cached copy.

Yahoo claims to index more pages than anyone, which would naturally make it take longer to re-index pages with the same bandwidth.

Personally, I don't think they index as much for some sites but more for others. They have different weights in place for crawling, which seems to make a lot of sense. E-Bay seems to get crawled a whole lot more in any engine than other sites, for example. Yahoo's weightings just seem to really favor those large, very frequently updated websites.
