Default Yahoo Sponsored Search - To use CTR

I saw a reference this morning on FT.com about a major announcement from Yahoo.

Yahoo - FT.com

This afternoon I received an e-mail from Yahoo telling about some great news regarding their sponsored search. It wasn't particularly explanatory. But I notice the orginal FT.com story includes a reference to Yahoo using click thru rate to formulate rankings.

Anybody know what's happening?

Yeah this should be interesting. I dont use PPC much, but I got the same email and saw some nice write ups on it:

As Loren points out:

Geotargeting?
Dayparting?
Copy testing?
Now that is some cool stuff.

Default Raw Material

Jaan,

I think its a step in the right direction. However, I feel that PPC is the least of Yahoo's problems. The raw material is sufferign due to loss of market share. Especially here in Blighty.
