Default Inktomi

Lately I keep seeing the following spider on my site multiple times during the day: lj2307.inktomisearch.com

Isn't that Inktomi that powers Yahoo!'s search?Besides draining my bandwidth, what else can it possibly do on my site so frequently?

I have the same problem with one of my sites where it drains 70MB each month. I cannot complain as Yahoo gives me about the same traffic as Google on that site. The pages index though in Yahoo does not show.

I will give it another month before I start asking around too.

Default Why is Slurp crawling my site so often?

I have the same problem with www.business-idea.com site.
I got over 700 hits per day from Slurp. The logs show that Slurp has been coming from 1794 different IP addresses last 3 months. I could hardly imagine that there are so many data centres. Or did I miss something?
In fact, I got 7 times more hits from Slurp than from real Yahoo traffic. This situation lasts some 2 months. Two months ago, the site was #2 for "business ideas" key words, now it is #26.

Is Yahoo reindexing already 2 months or is there something wrong with the Slurp robot?
