Default Yahoo Banned My Two Sites- Yahoo Love Spammers!

Hello SEO'rs

Few days back Yahoo banned my two legitimate sites (I think) now I get zero traffic from Yahoo! Surprisingly they still rank one of my semi-spam site.

One of my sites was in 8th position for VERY competitive keyword.

Other site in same niche but different segment and was raking at number 3. Both site took two years, and one and half years respectively to build and rank. I've feeling that my competitor might have files a fake complaint with Yahoo to push me down.

So any help or suggestion would be appreciated. I'm not frustrated, but little disappointed. I'm sure...SEO is pure gambling. So obviously I'm not depending on SEO.

Thanks
Mahesh Bhat

If the sites they banned are anything like http://xsiteprotips.com I applaud Yahoo.
This site is another example of wasted bandwidth.

I like the line. "P.S.S: Ohh... one out of every five peoples who visit this website are now proud owners of XsitePro Software! Are you loser?"

Call me a loser cause I choose not to buy software from your affiliate?

I guess Yahoo agrees with me and I hope Google and MSN will soon follow. Anyone out there who builds websites for the express purpose of bilking unsuspecting small business owners for a product that can't possibly deliver on its promises should be banned.

you probably just lost your rankings due to being complacent with the position you were in and not progressing further with SEO.

It happens.

I appreciate your thoughts & edit my copy. This is not the site I was talking about. This is direct response marketing site and I'm not doing any SEO.

Those two sites are-
info-diet.com
myhoodiashop.com

Thanks

www.info-diet.com doesn't even load and www.myhoodiashop.com is part of you minisite network in which Yahoo hates.

Excessively cross-linking sites to inflate a site's apparent popularity
I have a client right now that we are working to get back in and their website is much more of a real e-commerce website than those that you have shown above.

They had some interlinking going on like you, but it was much more hidden. Yours is pretty obvious. Remove them and ask to get back in.

Default Yahoo! does NOT ban sites!!

I am fed up with the disinformation on this site! Yahoo! does NOT ban sites! I have replied to many of the postings on webproworld whereby a user has claimed that yahoo has banned them, only to find that actually the site has not been banned - this leads me to wonder who is behind webproworld? I think this forum should be renamed GoogleAmateurWorld

Mishj,

You are incorrect. My site was infact from the Yahoo index. I emailed Yahoo to find out why their bot was visiting me but did not have my site listed, even for the most non-competitive keywords. Their reply was that I had a link farm. Which is far from the truth. My site is http://www.enhancementresearch.com and I run a very clean and very well organized link directory, for link exchanges. There is not even a hint of a link farm. And yet they told me that it was a link farm. They told me to try again with a "re-review." The "re-review" also came back with the same opinion. Maybe I am wrong but I can not see how my site is a link farm. And again Mishj, they do ban sites.

Serj...

Both of your sites are in the Yahoo! index...

http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UT...info-diet.com+

http://search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UT...hoodiashop.com

They just aren't found for the terms you're targeting, likely for the above reasons. Or, more likely because your software doesn't provide instant SEO as it claims. No software provides instant SEO, it requires a good deal of research, much study, a considerable degree of knowledge of the subject, and application of said knowledge. To suggest a web design software can instantly SEO your site, and guarantee results is quite simply ludicrous. It wreaks of the same essence as the hoodia and male enhancement products, and quite likely the diet pills on the site that doesn't work, that isn't banned as well.

I don't know, but for some reason your product line looks all to much like the list of goodies in my e-mail Spam filter folder to say Yahoo! probably wasn't justified in assessing the penalties that result in your sites not being found.

Mishj, you need to seek a Yahoo! support forum someplace to preach these allegations. I'm no more a fan of Google than anyone else, I deplore their tactics of suppressing results on the basis of age/experience, because in doing so they support misinformation and do NOT provide the most relevant results for data currently available.

However, your repeated allegations that WPW expresses bias in this matter, and should be named GoogleAmateurWorld here tonight, are unfounded. They are totally out of place, uncalled for, and to say the least off topic here. This thread isn't about Google or it's comparative value as a search engine in relation to Yahoo!, nor does it have anything to do with "WPW's" postion on search engines; it's about Yahoo! dropping Serj's results for what appears to be a penalty in search results.

Furthermore your suggestion in thread here that the only way to attain top listing in Google results is to pay for them is quite frankly bulls.hit, I have attained top listings in Google results for numerous search strings on more than one topic, on several sites, as have numerous others here at WPW, without paying a dime, and your suggestion that WPW offers a biased opinion serves only to prove that you lack the experience to offer informed input on the topic of SEO. Personally, I don't care who you know at Yahoo!, if you can't get results on Google without paying for them, you aren't doing it right!!!

It is not WebProWorld that is misinformed but alot of the "pros" here are.

Secondly, you can get top rankings on Google without paying and on the other hand I have seen sites rise quickly even after not being SE Friendly just because they had a rather large AdWords budget. I do think that if a site is properly SEO'd AND has a large AdWords budget then they have the advantage. I would put my bet mostly in the SEO involved though.

What is said here by misinformed people are basically what they read. Some people choose to repeat what others have said even if it is entirely wrong simply because they believe everything they read. Do your research and come up with an opinion of your own. When all else fails, prove everyone wrong.

rocky1,

Neither one of those sites are mine...not sure why you would imply that they were...the site that belongs to me that Yahoo claims was banned is: http://www.enhancementresearch.com

Also I don't appreciate that you would group with the rest of the sites that are found in your SPAM folder. Please search through my ste and let me know if you find anything SPAMMY about my site...

Thanks,
Serj

My site is still on Yahoo but has went from #3 for the search term grandfather clocks to not in the first 1000. This happened overnight. Now their bot is going to my robots.txt file then leaving my site, I can't figure this out. I was wondering what email address you used to contact Yahoo.
