Default Yahoo Ad sense program

What can any body tell me about the Yahoo Ad sense program they are running. It is in beta format I think.

I applied for it and am in the program but so far all I see on the ads are the same ads. I asked them what I needed to do in order to get the right kind of ads on each of my pages. Appael, appael ads, sports = sports ads. They would not tell me what I could do in order to get these types of ads.

Would you need to have meta tags with the right words in order to get them to place the ads in that page?

Not sure if I am making sense on all this. I have had the ads up for about 2 weeks now and they still show the same merchants.

Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?

They may not have enough advertisers in that space yet, is one conclusion.

Never thought of that. I would have assumed that if they have gone live they would have the ad's for just about anything. Guess I will just have to wait and see on this. Thanks for the input.

I can understand not having enough advertisers in "auto repair" but to show SEO ads, that doesnt make sense.

At least show something in the car related filed.

One thing that could be confusing the ads is the left nav. Three of the bottom items are web tools, submit and search engine which could be causing the ads to show up wrong.

We have had good luck with puting a little text above the ads to help them relate better. So something like:

Check out these recommended offers for Auto Repair, Auto Maintenance, Car Repair and other offers.

See if that works any better. Keep trying with the right keywords close to the ads has provide us better ads which has greatly increased our click through ratio. Also I agree that Yahoo Pays very well. We see a better value for the ad space on our sites with Yahoo over Google.

Good Luck

Yahoo Publishers are excellent they pay you well compared to Google. But the only problem is they have less number of advertiser than Google so fewer or no relevancy ads might show up.
