Default Yahoo rank bouncing

In the last few weeks we have noticed that our site position in yahoo seem to bounce between 7th and 4th on a daily basis. I am not sure what this means or what is happeneing at yahoo. Has anyone seen this type of bouncing around for their site? If so has any one have any suggestions for curving this situation? Thanks for your time and consideration.

Default Not significant

Matthew,

I wouldn't have thought that these sorts of oscillations in rank are that significant. However, I suggest you check the competition around you.

Thanks for the input dburdon!
The reason why I ask is that I have never seen it bounce around like this on a daily basis. In the morning we will be at 7 and then in the afternoon 4th. If we were at 7th for a few days and then 4th for a few days then that is another story. But to bounce around acouple times a day?
Also, we are #1 for our keyword music gifts in msn and don't experience the same bouncing around there. I was under the impression that yahoo and msn were some how partners. Anyway, thanks for the info and look forward to hear from you.

Default Partners

Matthew,

Yahoo and MSN were partners in organic search until January 2005 when MSN set up its own service. They are still partners on pay per click.

Ahh that would explain it. Thanks. It seems no matter how hard I try to get higher rankings in yahoo, I just can't get there. Thanks Again!
