Website Title Question with Yahoo Search Results

Does anyone know why Yahoo Search Results list some sites
Title and Description from the meta tags on that Page and
some results list Title and Description from the Yahoo Dir.

If a site is listed in the Yahoo! Directory then Yahoo! will use that site's Yahoo! Directory listing in the search results.

If it's not listed in the Yahoo! Directory, then they obviously cannot use the Yahoo! Directory listing because there isn't one.

Sometimes both

I have sites where Yahoo lists both the directory and the live version. Typically the directory version appears slightly above the live version.
