Yahoo Directory Listing

Does getting listed in the Yahoo Directory help in improving the Yahoo SERP position? Is the directory listing 'mandatory' is one aspires for a top 10 spot on important keyword?

You do not to have your site listed in Yahoo's Directory to get top rankings in Yahoo or any other search engine for that matter.

Type in SEO for Google in yahoo or google and you'll see my site up there (seoforgoogle.com)

I am not listed in yahoo's web directory but my site still ranks well.

However, if you have it in your budget, you should get it.
