Default I am curious

I wonder who else is being smashed around by yahoo. Maybe stealing bandwidth, rankings going up and down for no apparent reason. Nothing like seeing your hard work being flushed by yahoo. Who are these people who never answer emails are they above it all. I pray every night Bill Gates will show Yahoo how its done. My site was in trouble for a while, but I couldn't quite understand why I had to read volumes and volumes of junk just to get indexed on yahoo. Last month I had The yahoo slurpee bot came by 523 times I wonder why? for bandwidth?

I know alot of people feel mistreated by yahoo. It must be hard to stomach watching hard work being dragged around like a piece of trash. Opps I forgot a yahoo detail well lets ban the site. I was once told one this forum Yahoo owes webmasters nothing. Does this in a logical arguement make sense? What would one search for if yahoo had no websites to offer. Its kinda like saying all cats are black, I have a cat, it must be white.

In my opinion yahoo has become a uncontrollable monster and the only email they will answer is from their share holders. Not from people like you or me who try and give people something to search for on yahoo.

Yahoo should go back to where they came from, a bulliten board. I am so fed up with yahoo I got rid of everyhting yahoo on my computer. It took a week.

I am thinking about going all out with a smear campaign. Well if you feel the sameway, post it on this thread. I would love to read it. Thanks Fun to be Dumb

P.S I know it is my choice to be at this forum. But after 2 weeks of reviewing most of the threads I find it to be yahoo biased.

I will have to disagree with you regarding most threads being yahoo biased, this isn’t the case at all. Most webmasters know that neither Yahoo nor any other search engine owes them anything. If you want to be listed high up on a search engine then you need unique content, pages that are primarily for humans not search engines. Your hyperlinks should be intended to help people find interesting and relevant content and should not be aimed at search engines.

If you stuff a web page full of keywords you’re spamming and as such will be penalised. Once your web site gains a high listing you need to continue to add unique content that is of value to your visitors, if you just sit back and do nothing while other webmasters continue to improve their sites then your site is going to drop. Sometimes a drop in your rankings is not a result of something you’ve done, it’s possibly due to your competition improving their rankings.

If you feel a SE is taking up excessive bandwidth then use your robots text to prevent them from visiting as often or to restrict them to certain pages. You have to understand that Search Engines offer a service and that they are there to help those looking for information, they are not there for webmasters. In other words the best thing you can do is produce a web site that offers great content that is different from your competitors, give people a reason to keep coming back and then you should see an improvement in your rankings.

Default search engines google and yahoo

Yes search engines nowadays use intelligent algorithm which detects spammers/spamming easily. So having good content and having a site mainly targetted at humans is the best bet !

Default I will never understand

I will never understand the concept yahoo owes nothing to webmasters, site builders, web sites, or what ever you call it. Yahoo is a search engine, people turn to yahoo to look up information on basically anything. What if yahoo had no websites? I find this to be a illogical stand.

people> yahoo> websites
or
people> yahoo> ?

People in this forum certainly ask alot of questions, some pretty darn good ones. On this forum I have been accused of being unethical or immoral. I find that strange, all I did was slap a site together and submitted it. Why should we all spend so much time learnning tricks, secrets, and be still unsure on whats happening. This forum is for the confused and I don't blame them for being that way either. Today I voluntarily removed all 5 of my sites from yahoo. I really don't give a squirt about yahoo. In fact what the hell here is your typical yahoo response:

I am rather upset over the 20 emails
sent and zero responses. Just so

not to respond to. Fill free to email

of yahoo but ingnorance will be dealt
with ingnorance.

I responded to this email in the harshes, legally
possible way. I had to edit this email a little due to the abusive language and privacy laws. I finally got to them by the back door. There going to reply to me okay today is October 3/05.
