I have a question that I know has been asked dozens of times, but I couldn't find any posts that covered it. I have a site that is doing well in Yahoo! About 90 referrals a month.
My question is should I go ahead and submit my site via Express now that I know Yahoo! likes it, or just go on without it.

submitting doesn't do any thing any more. Spiders have become so sophisticated now that outside maybe submitting when a brand new site on a brand new server with a brand new domain will be the only thing that gets any benefit. IBL's are your best bet towards quick indexing.

This always happen whenever anyone asks about paid inclusion to Yahoo.
There is the Yahoo Search Index and the Yahoo Directory - both very different beasts. Yahoo Express (which the original question was about) is for free submission to the Yahoo Directory. I submit every site for this, but expect done to get listed (occasionally one does) - I also use the paid option for the Directory, when strategically indicated. That is different to free submission to the search index (a waste of time) or paid for inclusion in the search index (only worth it in certain limited circumstances) CBP |

I have had very positive experiences paying yahoo to get included in their directory. I only have one complaint... I pay $299 a year and the editor mispells a word in my description for Pool-Tables-Cues:

Y! Directory is a $299 annual fee (for most categories now) to have a human being look at your site and determine if it warrants a link or not. Yahoo Paid Inclusion is a service that makes their bot go wild on your website (re-crawls aggressively every 48 hours), then they place those results in their standard SERPs and give it a CPC treatment. As for the value, if you're trying to check what changes do to your ranking, this helps a lot. Just give it a low daily spend and see where you rank every other day based upon the changes you make. If you're happy where you're at and it doesn't fluctuate much, don't bother. Brian.
