Banned on Yahoo?

One of my sites, www.jobs-at-large.co.za has never been indexed by Yahoo (SERPS, not directory). Or at least, I have never seen it even when searching for the name.

Every other site I have created has ended up in Yahoo as a result of normal links to the site, but not this one.

The only difference with www.jobs-at-large.co.za is that it is an existing website that I moved over from www.unique-jobs.co.za because of a name clash with www.uniquejobs.co.za (without the dash).

Please have a look at www.unique-jobs.co.za and let me know whether that is maybe the reason for the ban. When I created the new site, I copied that same page onto every page on unique-jobs.co.za
Unique-jobs.co.za still appears within Yahoo SERPS.

The other difference to other sites is that I had two copies of unique-jobs - (.co.za and .com). www.unique-jobs.com still exists and have exactly the same content, though Google does not seem to mind.

Any suggestions what I should do?

If you copied the same content from one site to another then most likely that's the problem--banned for duplicate content.

I would fix the problem (put up unique content on the site) and then contact Yahoo! and ask for a reinclusion request.

Thanks guys,

I'm now doing a 301 redirect of unique-jobs.com to jobs-at-large.co.za and will do the same with unique-jobs.co.za soon.

I wasn't sure whether I'd have to email Yahoo, so I will do so once unique-jobs.co.za is also redirected.

Weird thing on this topic?? I tried to post a reply on Wednesday, but whenever I clicked on Submit, it showed me the preview of the post. Now that I try to reply again, it shows my previous post at the bottom of this window??

Anyway, I asked my ISP to do a 301 redirect on www-unique-jobs.com last week. Did a search on Yahoo this morning just to see whether it's had any effect, but www-jobs-at-large.co.za still did not show up.
So today I asked them to do a 301 on www.unique-jobs.com as well. As soon as I got the reply that they had done it, I checked on Yahoo and jobs-at-large.co.za shows up in the SERPS. I thought it may have taken a while, but obviously not.
