I have been given a major boost after being nowhere!

After going to a few forums it seems everyone is doing well out of the new update, so who did badly???

What were the search results like before? Pretty bad, I could barely find my site.

Looks like yahoo is getting it's act together after being rather slow to update in the past. Hopefully they will now update more often.

It shows the competition from MSN could be pushing yahoo to do better.

When is google going to get it's act together regarding relatively new sites?

Default Bring a shovel to find me

Hello all

I have been working on obscure keyword doorway pages with valid content for searches like this odd term

Fond Du Lac Jobs

Results 1 - 100 of about 208,000 for Fond Du Lac Jobs

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Fon...200&fl=0&x=wrt

careerbuilder.com now has 16 pages in the first 100 for this search. careerbuilder.com was listed once plus the PPC just yesterday. I just hope that users bring a shovel to find me.

At this point I think a good name for this Yahoo update could be The Yahovel Update Or The Yahfool Update.... LOL

Thanx for the listen

Yahoo released a new index over the weekend. A lot of sites saw big changes in their SERP's.You can read about it here: http://www.ysearchblog.com/archives/000095.html

definately a change, I havnt seen any big movements though. I have one site across the board that fell about 1-2 positions for about 75% of its 75 keywords, but no major losses anywhere.
Those sites all conform to the yahoo line of thought of match your title-h1-h2-incoming link text, and none have suffered really.

Default Yahoo major updates today?

Correct me if im worng. Yahoo is pay for performance. Site Match is part of yahoo's regular search listings. So if im paying and your not i should be doing better than you. My Site, one of my url's jumped to number 1 for a week then went to number 12 now its at 24. Now my main index page is number 1 for a main keyword im just wondering how long it will last. When is this update going to be over im going crazy up and down. This update for me is looking a lot like googles results.

One of our client's sites had over 1100 pages listed in Yahoo, which has now dropped to around 80 :-(

Around the start of the year we did a lot of SEO work on the site which was very successful, getting them around 1000 extra pages listed in Yahoo and getting them in the top 3 for a huge number of search terms.

However, the index seems to have reverted to how it was before the work was carried out (I can tell because all the URLs are in the old format). Anyone else had this problem?

Default From 70 to only 2 pages on Yahoo! What have we done wrong?

During the last two month Yahoo was #1 search engine traffic source for our website - http://www.family-stand.com. We had about 70 pages in their index. And now we have only 2.
Does anybody have any credible technical details about the update? Thank you.
