Why does this happen in Yahoo ?
Strange, would someone please explain this to me.
I did a search on my site www.singaporecampus.com for certain keywords. If searched under Yahoo regional categeory such as Singapore, the site appears in top 10 for certain keywords both in 'all web'as well as for Singapore only, but when repeated the same search for the same keywords on its search column under www.yahoo.com ,the site churns up an entirely different
result ! How and why does this happen?
Does this means different people from different regions gets different search reasults for Yahoo search for the same keywords ?

Hi, Singcampus,
My guess is that the Singapore database is much smaller than the real World Wide Web database, thus the better rankings with the Singapore database as there is less competition for high ranks. Or it could be a good old fashioned coding bug!
I took a look at your web site code and would suggest setting up your tables using percentage widths instead of pixel widths thus eliminating the need to scroll to the right which aggrevates many people.
Also, I thought your graphics were very artistic and professional!!

I have seen differences between the SERPs returned for Yahoo.com & Yahoo.co.uk .
I believe that there is a regional bias built into the regional versions of Yahoo. I have no proof from Yahoo but my limited searching & analysis certainly points to it.

Another factor (apart from local relevancy) could be the fact that I have noticed Sing and HK Yahoos databases update much later than the main Yahoo com.
The reason I know this is because even when a site I had dropped out of Yahoo.com SERPs altogether, it was still getting traffic on the old keywords from Sing and HK Yahoos. I checked the SERPs there, and sure enough my site was still listed even though it was long gone from .com.
This delay could account for the disparity in results.

Why did I ever sell on internet?
Ones I made a site in a couple of hours, put it in the lycos.com free engine submission and soon saw it was visited although not frequently at all, but in any case my sells were a quite an important percentage of my public.
If certain among you haven't yet enough of the tips and trics you can get for free all over the web, well try next if you never did this before and tell me what the result is. Maybe I repeat myself one of these days and try out another picture and bear the rest. I namely put my picture and a link to my site in my hotmail public profile.
You can still see the old site 'in cache' by Google and Yahoo, with mistakes on the pages and later I used the style of writing the keywords to put in my Yahoo science fiction shop, not much more than "GSM accessories" in fact. It were ringtones and so, thus, an other mistake I suppose. Since many months that site was broken up already, but it still ranked in Google. It is even possible that the day the new version was submitted (the same account)it disappeared for ever. I'm still in yahoo. I know very well what kind of people, races, or cultures are my fans on the web, well I have enough. What do you English talking people have against my stupid face, as white and dumb as your owns?

Different DCs definitely have different data. I notice when I check my site logs that list which engine referred visitors to me that my rankings in those engines vary depending on where they did the search from.
