Default Yahoo and Java Script

Would someone know if yahoo can read java script? I have a rss newfeed site. I update several times a week and also have a java script newsfeed on the same page. The strange thing is on the days I haven't added any fresh content, the crawler returns a 200 code as if I have updated my content?

Thank you for your feedback, comments.

Pablo

Search engines don't read and execute javascript. Their spiders don't have a javascript parser included that allows them to do that. However, this doesn't mean that they won't read it in the future.

If you're updating your site with javascript (the feed you are suggesting), then you're actually wasting your time because they don't read it and will never see the content. You'll have to use RSS or another type of feed for it to matter.
