Default Is Yahoo using Google search results again?

Is Yahoo using Google search results again? I just noticed that the Yahoo web search seems to have really changed and looks alot like the results Google is serving up. Anyone else notice?

I noticed a change in the Yahoo SERPS when I dropped out of the top 10 three days ago.

I am still No.1 in Google so I would doubt if they are using the same results.

No they're not. But, I wouldn't be surprised that in certain industries the top players always dominate all the top SERPs in all the engines.

I've started to show up well in Yahoo lately, after not being anywhere since they dropped Google. They may have updated their algorithm to be more, rather than less, like Google. The problem before was that if a page was optimized to show up well in Google, chances were it didn't show up at all well in Yahoo, and vice versa. However, since many more searchers are still using Google (I get 83% of my search engine traffic from Google and only 7% from Yahoo), most webmasters are optimizing for Google, and not Yahoo, which means that a lot of quality sites dropped in Yahoo just because of that reason.

I'm also showing up well in the MSNSearch beta.

It changed. My site can be find nowhere. I also found some other former top ranked site droped significantly. Has yahoo changed it's algorithm?

Default We're still doing well

Well, not to disagree for the sake of disagreeing, but I don't agree with scallihan at all. We're at the top of G, Y!, and bMSN for nearly every one of our phrases and have been since Y! broke off (actually, since I went to Search Engine Strategies the first time.)

However, that said, many of our competitors have dropped in Y! recently. I think they changed things up a bit in their algo and it had a negative effect on rankings that were generated by off-page means. I've always taken a different approach and made my pages the most relevant while talking in conversational language. Seems like that always comes out on top in the end.

Brian.
