Default Yahoo Help

Hi Folks,
After seven months of business I still have TERRIBLE ranking on Yahoo. My business, SacramentoMidtown.com, gets great ranking on Google. In fact under the term "Sacramento Midtown," my site ranks first. In Yahoo I am nowhere to be found. I am looking for either specific suggestions, or links to resources that can help me with my overall optimization. Again, I am specifically looking for Yahoo help. Any pointers on the site would be appreciated as well.
Thanks.
Scott

Howdy smithline!

One thing you can do to improve your Yahoo search engine query results, is to play more with your keywords within your < title > tag to match up better with keyword-rich page links & page text. The < title > tag carries a high degree of weight with Yahoo. Be sure to make your < title > tag keywords form a natural sentence as it may be used as your site's description in Yahoo search engine queries.

If you have competitors for your keywords, don't neccessarily use the popular keywords they use. Instead, select keywords that customers would use, but your competitors seem to ignore. Sounds easier said than done, right?

Well, researching your competitors on a search query is a good place to start. View the source of their pages & study what keywords are within their < title > tag. However, do not readily duplicate these for your own web site. Simply look for their weaknesses - the important keywords they've (your competitors) neglected to use.

I hope this helps.

Cheers!
Max
