Default Yahoo thanks me for reporting site, but keeps #1 anyway!

I reported a site www.tyler.com to Yahoo and advised them that the site is #1 for many golf related search terms, but there is really no site at all. You get a screen that says "Please Stand By..." The exact same message has been there since December'03 that I know of.

The site has nothing to do with Tyler. tylertexas.com is the official Tyler, Texas site. It actually does not have anything to do with anything!

Yahoo emailed me back and thanked me for reporting the site and asked me to report any other such sites to help keep their search results better.

The site is still #1 in the same search terms that is was months ago when I reported it.

The site has no description, no keywords, nothing. I gave them many details I researched, such as multiple site listings with DMOZ. None of the listings are even active. Everything about the site and it's listing is strange.

Why does Yahoo keep the site ranked so high, or even listed at all. Check it out and see if it is as strange as I say it is.

Why would it be #1 for any search terms, much less golf related search terms?

Not sure got a proper answer but that root URL is not listed in DMOZ - but its subdomains have 4 DMOZ and 15 Yahoo Directory listings (some of these are of the root URL). The subdomains are active websites (a couple have gone 404).
Two of them are:
http://statefair.tyler.com/
http://omfs.tyler.com/
Both are related to tyler - so best guess is that its a ranking quirk - there could be a 100 subdomains associated with the domain.

In addition to being in the #1 spot for area golf search terms, it is also #1 for tyler texas as a search term.

I can understand ranking quirts happening, but when Yahoo is notified, agrees in an email it is not right, clearly knows it is there in all the terms I told them about, it seems they would not leave it there.

Just doesn't make sense.
