Default What's happened to Yahoo! Express???

I've recently developed a new life insurance site for my wifes new business venture and have obviously been trying to get the url included in as many good sites as possible such as Yahoo's directory.

Having come to terms with the fact that it was going to cost me money to get the site into Yahoo's directory, i have been trying for the last week to pay my money. However, every time i've tried there's a message saying the service is unavailable due to technical issues. http://add.yahoo.com/fast/add?8101+UKIE click on the suggest via Yahoo express button to see the error message.

Are they replacing this with something else?
Or are they just having major problems?

Any suggestions for other sites that i could submit my wife's site to?

Yahoo is Probably having problems - more problems that is...

As far as where to submit? Don't bother submitting to the search engines -- they will find you. Get some links from other sites and directories.

dmoz.com (takes forever), gimpsy.com, goguides.com, and maybe even pay for a few good directory entries.
Do a search of the site on "directories" or "directory" and you will find scads of them listed....

That should keep you busy getting links for at least a few weeks.

Default Yahoo! Express

roscoagogo,

I saw your post and yes, we were having a technical problem with Yahoo! Express. It’s been solved and Express is up and running again. If you still have interest in submitting to the directory you should be able to do so without a problem.

Thanks,

Yahoo! Mike

Please keep in mind that payment does not automatically guarantee inclusion in the directory, site placement, or site commentary
So I guess you have to have a high quality and a highly visited site to guarantee a listing? Anything else will be 50/50? I'd bung the £199 in Overture, at least you'd be guarantee clicks......

Just my 5p's worth
