Default How come he finds it?

That seems incredible to me!

About 2-3 weeks ago I noticed that Yahoo! finds one of my pages that should not exist (was supposed to be deleted about 2 months ago - someone made a mistake and had not deleted it) on the 3rd page of the results for a certain query.
We have double-checked if the page still exists - it did, so we have completely deleted it and today the page is number 6 for that query!
What is more, the page shows error 404 - there is absolutely no content.
How come this happens????

thanks,

wlodi

The page is in Yahoo's index and will stay there for a LONG time! We have all had pages (after deletion) stay in Yahoo's index for months and months.

And most` say Yahoo is going to be in competition with Google? Now that's a laugh.

Yahoo caches are old, even though they visit often;
Yahoo can not even see a 301 redirect properly;
......

Thanks for that.
If Yahoo! works so slow, I think we will put the pages online again and do 301-redirect to the right ones - provided Yahoo! understands that...

thanks again,

wlodi

Don't do a 301 redirect. Yahoo used to have massive problems with that and it may not be completely fixed. There is a thread about it here.
