Default Changing your Yahoo site description

We submitted our to Yahoo's directory about a year ago - big mistake! Firstly, not only did they change the name and description of our listing to something we didn't want, but they not only changed it in the directory but the general search listings as well. The title they gave is just the company name (not nearly as descriptive as the title we had) and the summary is also awful.

What's really annoying is that we PAID them for the directory listing and they screwed up our general search listing as a result. Does anyone know where to go or what email to contact in order to get this changed? I have submitted a complaint through their generic web form and nobody even bothers to reply.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Default Yahoo Express Inclusion edit

If it is a paid inclusion that is less than a year, you can go login to your Listing Manager account at http://edit.yahoo.com/config/login_v...ge%2Forders%3F

Then click the link on the left that says “Request a Change to an Existing Listing”.

On some of the categories, (like Real Estate sites), it is policy to have the company name as the title unfortunately. In order to get the description as close to what you want, keep it as short as possible and do not include sales hype. The closer the description is to factual with good grammar, the less it will be edited.

I guess it depends on the luck of the draw. I was able to get two real estate sites edited within 48 hours (with a good edit I might add) and I have been over two weeks waiting on another edit.

If it has been over a year, you can start all over again and hope it is better this time.

Hope this helps.

Default Yahoo listing

Thanks Mack. I did as you suggested - we were under a year. They do however state that we must list the company name as the title...so stupid as it doesn't tell the person searching anything about the site listed.
