Anomaly, glitch or early Halloween?

This morning, I noticed that my post count was at 559, rather than the ~1,200-1,400 or so that I think I had yesterday. As a consequence, my status was automatically downgraded from WPW 1000+ Club to WPW Veteran. Has anyone else noted the same of their post count? Any ideas what the problem might be, Admin?

We made some changes to how we handle member post counts. All posts made in the break room and introductions are no longer counted toward your post count. As with the post limit for links this was all done to help curb the spam posts we've been receiving.

I don't know how many posts I had, but know it was above 7000 may be over 8000, and many of them in the break room. Now it is reduced to 5,552.
