1. I have set up my WPW account with the new Tweet This option.
2. I have also noted that perma links are removed and the post is set up with the temporary URL. Then the link ends up broken.
3. The compacted URL on Twitter also get a non descriptive text. Perhaps not possible to change since it is a Twitter and not a WPW problem.
4. Is it possible to change (some of) these functions?

I think the Tweet options is a great idea and you can tweet a post of your choice by a single mouse click once the twitter option is installed in your account.

The only thing we can possibly change are the perma links for our site. I'll pass this along to Dave and I'll get back to you when/if he's able to rewrite the twitter plugin.

Once twitter has the url though, it's out of our hands as to what they do with it.

I don't know how twitter see the URL. I have not been able to Tweet Permalinks. I have also experienced that one link was broken after a while. Twitter is mainly a news service, but I like to have them to I delete them myself. The tool become less useful if visitors experience broken links, so hopefully it is possible to Tweet the perma link.

We've modified the twitter part of the social media links to use our new twe.ly site for twitter. It should be working correctly now.

Hmm, I have not had a problem tweeting tweet urls. You can use a url shortner to shorten the link, then use a converter to get the original link. Something like Tweecious
