Error On Page?

How come there is always an "Error On Page" on this site?

Because your browser like mine expects an object in char 1 of line 36 and it doesn't get it :)

My best guess (abnd I'm sure one of the code jocks in here will correct me) is that there is an onLoad statement but no reference to checkCount() anywhere else on the page. Therefore depending upon how you log into the page your browser may not know what onLoad="checkCount() is

Thats interesting Julian, I always presumed the reason I got it was because of the ads. I get it all the time too.

The checkCount() onload event is in a JavaScript file that is supposed to be loaded. The file is referenced twice in the <HEAD> section of the page...which I do not think should be a problem.

But the problem is the count is for a cookie that pops this window http://images.ientrymail.com/pop_wpw.html open. Up until a couple of days ago, this was popping up regularly....but someone has modified the .js file and there is now a compilation error in line 1 of the file.

The file appears to be okay and the function checkCount() is there.

I suspect that a lot of people were complaining about the referenced page above continually popping up, even though you are already registered AND logged in. Which is what it was doing to me....pretty irratating (not to mention embarrassing to have this pop up in that case) and someone has tried to fix it...but now the error is popping up.

I use the Google Toolbar which has a popup blocker so I never had that problem :P

I noticed that the references to the popwpw.js file are currently commented out.. possibly while Site Admin is trying to correct the problem. But if the checkCount function is in the missing script, there will continue to be an error.
