Default who REALLY is WebProWorld ?

To all the people behind WebProWorld or to the people who knows the people behind this FANTASTIC site. First of all Huge Thanks. You rock!

I'v been a member since early December 2003. Since about the same time as I discovered SEO and read a couple good books on website marketing. This site and forum have been a great companion, and invaluable business tool. I would like to know more about this site. I tried to look around for info but couldnt really find anyhting. The ABOUT section was mostly about who visits the site. I would like to know: Who started it? Who's behind it? Who runs it? Who owns it?!!!?? Where are you? Who are all these kind "moderators", "hosts", "mvps" and other "veterans" who so patiently keeps answering questions and replies with clean, clear and spell-checked comments? Like janeth, Catalyst, cyanide, Minstrel, Mel, Brittany, cbp, just to name a few that comes to mind. Thanks. Are You/they volunteers...? Do you get paid? Do you own the site? What does the different titles mean... are they explained anywhere?

Hope my membership won't be revoked for all these direct questions. Oh yeah. I like the newsletter too. I'm a big fan. It's a no brainer to tap into this free (can't believe it) information. I have also added a link to this site in my link section on my own site as a token of appreciation and way to pay back for all the valuable info/tips I have soaked up in the last two or so months.

We'll see if we can tackle these questions one by one (& Brit, et el) can fill in any blanks :-)

1.. Who's behind it?
i-entry owns the newsletters & the forum.

2.. Who runs it?
The staff at i-entry run it, but your head honcho here is Brittany.

3.. Where are you?
As far as I know, they are based in Kenutucky (of all places!) ;-)

4.. Who are all these kind "moderators", "hosts", "mvps" and other "veterans" who so patiently keeps answering questions and replies with clean, clear and spell-checked comments?
All are volunteers.
Most of the levels are significant with the amount of posts you contribute and change rank at certain levels. Starting from the bottom up (hope I get this right!)....
Newbie, Member, Webpro Member, Veteran, Veteran Member
Then you have MVP's - these are Most Valued Posters - usally people who have been nominated by Moderators for their contribution to the boards.
Then there are the Moderators - those that have offered/been nominated by other Mods or Admin to watch over certain forums.
Then the Admin, who are predominently i-entry staff.

Hope I've answered your questions :-)

Glad to see you get so much out of the forums!!

Cindy

Yep you got that right... webpro really rocks. Some time back I posted an article and several people replied and told how they started off in webdesigning and other personal stories as well.

do tell the story of how you started out here.
