Default Close the Content Discussion forum

There really is little discussion of content in any form going on.

CMS software, yes ....but that would be a better discussion for web construction. Likewise, RSS feed mechanics, photo album construction, and the four out of five unrelated posts in the forum merely make it look derelict.

And fewer people comment to help on unrelated posts (or the posts go unanswered) because hey -- they aren't about content.

Hi dcrux

The content forum is still quite new and demanding to close it down just for that reason IMHO would be counter-productive.

There is no magic bullet to the success of a forum. We just need good folk like you to help the community and contribute posts.

Long time no speak BTW ;)

Just a suggestion, but it could appear as a demand I suppose. I figured that "suggestion" would go without saying, because the word suggestion is in the section heading.

Thanks for taking a look at the post ;)

The thread could also spark people to contribute to the Content Discussion forum. ...About content, since that also seems a bit unclear without explicitly stating it.

Or maybe the solution would be to make the breadcrumb section text size bigger?

We're going to be reworking the forum a bit here in the next week or two. All forum sections are going to be evaluated in the process. Appreciate the feedback.

Interesting.

Are you planning on getting rid of "Submit your site for review"? It seems mainly to be a vehicle for people displaying gratuitous links to their sites rather than many being really interested in a review. Anyone with any targeted questions about their site content can surely put them in the "Content Discussion" forum.

Forums like the affiliate and domain forum are full of junk spam. I do feel they should be both kept, but with new rules for posting.

Submit your site for review will probably not go anywhere... but we may handle it a bit differently.

I'd like to somehow incorporate that section or some element of that section into a video feature for WPW.

Just an early concept idea...
