private message - Not Authorised

When I wish to send a PM, I get this message:

Not Authorised

What's wrong, do I need to write a certain amount of posts before I can send PMs ?

You have to have 15 posts to send PMs at the moment. I'm about to lower that somewhat (probably to 10). This is in response to some PM system abuse issues we've had.

In the old forum, if you created an account but made no posts, you could spam the pm system and I could only kill that account. Which is no problem for bot created accounts. Previously, until a post was made I didn't have IP information so I couldn't ban en masse. Now, I am taking the IP upon registration and making a minimum post count required. This should effectively eliminate PM spam.
