Default Messages in Search Engines

It looks like all messages here can be picked up by search engines.

It would be nice if management could at least give users the option of starting threads that are shielded from search engines.

Shielded from the search engines?

Nobody's ever asked to be shielded from the search engines before (generally it's quite the opposite)... new one to me.

What kind of area would you want? What would the subjects/topics be? I guess the obvious question too... why would you want to be shielded?

It shouldn't be a separate area. Rather, there should be a checkbox to keep a new thread from search engines.

Why? For example, because people might Google the business and find principals complaining about sales or discussing purchasing site imagery.
