Default Submit Button...again

The Submit button does not seem to work for me again. I am not sure why this problem comes and goes for me.

I tried posting twice just now.

One time I ended up posting two copies of the item and and the next time I could not get it posted.

I use forums all the time, in fact way to much and this is the only place I have the problem.

But last week I did a couple post and never had a problem...

UPDATE: I can not get this post, posted. When I click submit I get preview.

UPDATE: It worked the second time

UPDATE. But not for the last update.

Try starting a new line at the end of the posts, not a sure fix but makes it happen less i think

I wouldn't call it a 'fix' but it's certainly a workaround.

At the end of your post you need to hit 'enter' (go to a new line) before you submit. It's especially true of posts where you just paste in content.

It's irritating but I have thrown in the towel on this one for the time being.

Once i get some other things squared away I'll chase it some more, but it probably won't be changing in the near future....

Mike - you have to do something about this..... This is a great forum ---- really one of the best - but this has been driving me nuts for what seems like a year..... I have this problem very often.... Are you sure it's just on copy paste?

It feels like it almost always happens everytime I'm here.... I just started to look for a thread on this because I was saying to myself, this just can't be -- It's got to be happening to others too...

Anyway - just wanted to give you some insight on it. It's one thing I really don't like about this forum, but that is THE ONLY thing negitive about this entire site.....

Actually I see no pattern to why this works and sometimes doesn't work. I guarantee this and other items hurts contribution levels on WPW.

I've never experienced this problem. I usually preview before posting - this time I won't...

<came back to edit> No problem at all.
<another edit> is this browser specific??

I see it on FF and IE.

I find if I wait 10-12 seconds after cutting and pasting content (from spell checking) or writing it in the actual text box it goes through more often than not.

Quick types and submissions NEVER go through on the first time.

Best guess on this one at this point is that it's some sort of read/write thing in the database behind the forum.

Hopefully it'll go away when we get thru the forum redo we're working on.
