Default log in problems

Every time I visit this site I wind up having to log in repeatedly on the same visit. It happens when I go from a forum posting to the main page -- always -- and sometimes just when I click my "back" button.

I guess the up side is that I don't have to look up my password any more because I'm using it so often, but it sure would be nice to log in once per visit.

Any suggestions? Oh -- YES, I do put a mark in the little "remember me" box. It doesn't make any difference. And you are on my allowed cookies list.

It seems that I read somewhere in the forums that another person has this problem, but I can't remember where exactly the post was.

Your help would be appreciated.

That part of WebProWorld has indeed caused problems at one time or another for certain members and it isn't clear why some have difficulty and others don't. For a while, I was experiencing your problem - as long as I stayed in the forums, I was okay but if I went to Page One or even Forum Index I would be logged out.

I had to repeat the following a few times before it worked and some of it may be magic but try this:

1. log off WPW
2. shut down your browser
3. either delete all your cookies if you don't mind doing that, or go through them and delete all those you find for WebProWorld or ientry.com. If memory serves, there were at least two and perhaps three of these when I was having the problem.
4. restart your browser, log back in

As I said, what I found at first is that this would sometimes work not at all and sometimes work for a few days and stop again but being a Taurus I persisted and I have not now had the problem for a few months.

Now if I could just find a way to have WPW remember that I want to be notified when there is a reply to a post. That has never worked for more than a couple of days at a time and is once again not working - each time I edit a post or reply to a post, the "watch" flag is reset to the "don't watch" state... *sigh*

Default Delete those Cookies!

I had exactly the same problem recently. As part of a New Year's purge, I'd changed my logon password, and my subsequent logins all called for a manual login of my new password with my existing username.

I contacted Site Admin here, and they gave exactly the same advice that Minstrel has given above.
I haven't experienced any further problem since! :o)

Default fixed it (I think)

DUH! I checked my Norton to be sure that Web Pro cookies were allowed, but forgot to check my IE. After checking my cookies and finding none from Web Pro I thought "oops", and now have enabled cookes from Web Pro World. So, hopefully things will work now.

Thanks for replying. I wouldn't have done the double checking otherwise.

Sincerely, The Weedy Lady
