Default Would it be possible...

In an effort to put WPW one step ahead of the other webmaster forums, would it be possible to have a Shopping Vertical forum? This could encompass Froogle, Shopzilla, NexTag, Pricegrabber, Shopping.com, Cnet, and a zillion others.

Right now, there really isn't a good spot to discuss strategies and the like, and they can most certainly make a huge difference in online sales and profitability if implemented properly.

I'd volunteer as a mod in that. You can see that I'm listed here in the 2:00 - 3:30 timeslot as someone that has experience in shopping engines.

Seeing the dollar volume we're receiving from shopping engines, I'd love to help other online stores realize the value and help guide them how to actually make money utilizing them.

Default

I think those topics currently fit under eCommerce Talk. That forum probably doesn't get enough action right now to require forking shopping SEs off.

Of course, I don't make those decisions, I'm just pitching in my $0.02.

Default I haven't seen much...

I haven't seen much of any mention of the shopping engines in E-Commerce talk. It seems to be mostly about off-shore merchant accounts and shopping cart programs.

It just seems that shopping engines are becoming a very important vertical and they don't get much coverage anywhere. I know that Froogle is amounting to hundreds of thousands in sales for just our little sites, so someone has got to be wondering how they would go about doing that.

Anyway, you're probably right, but it seems that nobody really discusses the shopping engines in any webmaster related forums.
