I know that advertising is important to your revenue to support the forums. However I am finding that the intensive advertising at the top of the forums is slowing it down.

Default Forum speed

Are you on dial-up because with my cable connection the forum loads quick which normally php sites do load pretty quick. Additionally you might try to delete your cookies and history on your computer as this sometimes slows down computers that do not have a lot of ram especially if you have not done that for a while.

I'm also on dial-up and yes some of the pages and banners do load slowly, more or less so depending on your cookies settings and how you have your temporary internet files set to "refresh".

However, somebody has to pay for the hosting, bandwidth, and admin and tech support services - without the advewrtising we'd have no WPW forums. To me, the price of having WPW is worth it.

You won't get any complaints from me, I am glad WPW is here.
