It is a good idea. I will make that a section. I've had my hands full with a few other forum issues recently and wanted to get a few things nailed down before I created any new forums.

I'll try to get this one started here in the next few days. We'll give it a try and see if it floats.

Mike, I've been keeping an eye out for an ad space sales forum, I'm sure you've been busy lately.

I have a ton of ad spaces that need to be filled, and was thinking of putting a request for ad sales people in the work wanted/for hire category, but was holding out until the new ad spaces forum was started.

I'll watch for the new forum, and post in the other category in the next few days.

Thanks,
Pete

Forum created in the ecommerce section. Any volunteers for moderating?

The forum has been up for a couple of weeks now. As I feared, it has become a spam haven devoid of value.

At this point, the future isn't very bright for this forum. If anybody in this thread thinks they can salvage it, then now's the time to make your case. It will require HEAVY moderation to remain in the rotation. I'm going to give it about another week and barring dramatic changes, it's gone.

Default sold

Mike I sold some ad space from the message I placed on the section - admittedly it was not a big sale - but it was for a specific advert for '1963 Pontiac Parts'

Well it was actually a very small sale. But I do prefer dealing with people rather than 'adsense'

Default Option

Mike, as an alternative Option to deleting the subject, maybe you could manipulate it into a 'targeted adverts' section.

A place where people that sold - say, fishtanks, could find someone with space on a fishtank Forum or whatever.

As you probably guessed Mike, I am not one to delete things, I see merit in modifying things a little that do not work . . until they do.
