Default looking for hostgator hosting feedback

I have posted in a couple different threads in the past week looking for feedback from anyone using hostgator services and I have not gotten one bite yet. I was hopping to hear something by now as I am anxiouse to make a move from one dedicated server to another. I am currently in the process of doing my homework on the best services I can get for my money.
I was in hopes that someone would have something to tell me about hostgator already.
if you are hosting with them.
Please let me know if you are using dedicated or shared hosting and any experience you can share with me on tech support.
I am pretty convinced that they have the dedicated server I need. I just want to be sure that I get the tech support I will be needing as well.

Thanks for any input.

I have seen them and considered moving to them in the past but I am pretty happy with my Datacenter.

Hi Tony,

I personally love hostgator.com, With them I have been able to totally blow my local and regonal hosting rivals out of the webhosting market. I'm underselling them by 50% to 75% and i'm still making a great profit.

I have a dedicated plan thats fantastic and the customer support is great. I used to have 12 servers at my house with a phone call to Hostgator I found it was cheaper to go with them.
They handle everything and I have not and a single website go down for any reason what so ever. I do alot of advertising by word of mouth and networking.

Hope this helps you out.

Sincerly,

Michael Stewart

I have a hostgator reseller package and host a number of websites. I am also very happy with them. Hardly any downtime and excellent customer services.

I had an a very technical issue recently that was resolved within five minutes using the online chat facility.

I would recommend them on the basis of my experiences so far.

I have a HostGator and a Blue host account along with others.

I find HostGator loads faster than the others I have in the same price range. "Blue host"

I'm very happy with them.

I have been using them for the last 6 months or so and am very please so far. The only issue I have had was a minor problem with billing, but after submitting a ticket this was sorted out within 24 hours.

I'm the first that will be happy to stand right beside HostGator.com, after seeing what they had to offer me and the amount of support they provide within minutes. I found it was cheaper moving all of my customers websites to hostgaters servers and sell al 25 of the servers I had running. Now I host over 290 websites on my servers and it costs me and my customers 50% less this way.

Best move I ever made. Now I pay my sales reps $400.00 per website they sell. Alls great now.

How about Softlayer? For dedicated server they seem to be the best. Though they are pricey but its worth it. Hostgator is fine too based on the reviews I've read. I'm with bluehost but most comments I've read about them is that they oversell.

Three years back, I was rather skeptical at first. I had absolutely no experience with Linux or Apache, was even unaware of the fact that unlike in Windows I had to be here more specific with small or capital letters in file names but I liked the C-Panel.
I made the choice (shared hosting). I never regretted it. C-Panel is fun. Hostgator folks are helpful and the servers have been maintained all these years without I or my website experiencing any problems. Issues with my mail server were resolved within a few hours. Even some of my sluggish visually overdosed pages load quickly. Using third party monitoring tools during the first two years I found most of metrics for my pages showing an above average performance.

I am using them, find them efficient and helpful.

They did have a habit of being a bit arrogant, and shutting sites down without notice a couple of years ago, but I think that they have mellowed since then.
