Default Deleting goals in AdWords Analytics

I know how to turn goals OFF and I've done this, but does anyone know how I can delete two goals that I created when I first set my Analytics profile up.
I've asked Google for an answer to this question, but the reponse is simply to refer me to their several Help pages. These certainly explain how to originate a goal and how to edit (i.e. change it), but there's no sign that I can see as to how I can get rid of the ones that I subsequently realized I just didn't need.
It's the Tidy Betty in me that would like to eliminate them if there's some way to do so.

Default That appears...

That appears to be an oversight at the moment. They allow you to turn them on and off, but not delete. I hadn't ever thought about deleting, but an interesting problem.

I think the issue with deleting is that some data has been collected against any goal that is set up, so they would have to figure out what to do with that data. Instead, they just don't allow for deletion.

Thanks, Brian.
I think you're probably right.
But it's no big deal. I just came to realize that my AdWord reports themselves and the reports I get from my newsletter e-mail people were already giving me the info. There therefore seemed no point in duplicating it.
