Domain Parking is taking a domain that has been registered, but does not yet point to a website and pointing it instead to a domain parking web page.

I think you've posted this in the wrong thread.

    Regards,

    Mike.

Domain parking has been regarded illegal and typically is a trademark violation, although it does still go on.

What are you talking about? How does it relate to trademarks? Please show us the statute or other substantiation.

Lot of people here unfortunately have no idea what they are talking about.

Domain parking refers to taking a domain name, and hosting on a system which sets up basic "lander" pages so visitors can view your page. Generally they are setup with link advertisements and if a visitor clicks on one, you will receive a certain amount of money from it. The idea is that you can "park" your domain, have it sit there and wait till someone goes on your page where they click ads.

Don't listen to all these responses as most people don't know what their talking about, their probably just spammers.

I think the guys is simply trolling to spam his signature all over the place.
Someone who runs a SEO company (see sig) surely knows what domain parking is? And besides this is super-easy and faster to find out on Yahoo, Google, Bing.

May even have been posted by a bot.

so i therefore conclude that google won't allow adsense for domain if this is illegal..

    Ding ding ding.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_parking should enlighten you if you aren't just posting to post. I, too, find it hard to believe that a professional SEO is unfamiliar with the term. When people ask questions that don't really have any discussion value like this, I do think they are posting for links, yes.

Well then learn to use a search engine. You do know what those are, do you?

But surely you know things related to your own industry? Esp. when you're offering it as a professional service? And even if you don't - the SE in SEO stands for Search Engine; if you don't even know to use those, it reflects rather poorly on your "expertise".
