I don't know about most, but certainly many never get looked at. There are far more links in backlog than there are editors available to weed through and approve them.

That would be because they make it very hard to be an editor.. I was rejected as an editor many times with never an explanation as to why.. The only way I got to be an editor was to buy an editor account.. I know that there is a lot of policing, and people on the inside like to think that they do a good job about policing, but.. .. ..

I think DMOZ requests are going into an unread email account.

That email account prolly has 1TB worth of space to hold all those unchecked email submissions.

Google guidelines says to submit in DMOZ necessary

Show me where google ever said it was 'necessary'.

This is the directory of google which helps a lot in ranking.

That is highly debatable anymore.

I aubmitted my site this morning and it says inclusion will be 2-3 months.

Good luck with that. Besides, the fact this was a "dead thread" with no posts in over 9 months, post back here when it is included.

Look at the date of the last post. Also the red writing at the bottom suggesting starting a new thread.

I tried two three times. But My website still did not get listed with the DMOZ. I thought I did some mistake while posting. But now only I can understand that so many people are same position like me.

Speaking from personal experience, DMOZ usually takes much longer than 2-3 months to get accepted (probably around a year). The good news is that when I did get accepted, I didn't notice a significant difference in my SERP's, so I wouldn't exactly call it necessary.

You can submite your link on other site which is approve your link in short time according to dmoz.http://www.dmoz.org was good site but not at this time.Because it approve your link after 3 or 4 month and it not sure that your link will be Approve.So i am not trust on dmoz....
