DMOZ can shown your website upto 6 months after the submission. You have to be patient. It very important to appear in DMOZ for Google.

DMOZ is important because many other directories copy it. So if you're in DMOZ, your site is in hundreds of other directories. Plus it's a legitimate directory and integrated with Google's directory.

What's important with DMOZ is to use you actual company name as the title and NOT keywords. Follow this carefully: http://www.dmoz.org/add.html. Do it once and forget about it. If you submit again, it will overwrite your earlier submission and push you to bottom of the queue.

Do not waste yours or a DMOZ editors time. It not the sort of site that DMOZ will list.

There is no guarantee to be listed in DMOZ after submission. In fact most websites cannot get listed there and some got approval after a year or so. You can submit your website to them. But don't place your expectation too high.

You'll be really lucky if you get listed in D after 2 or 3 months. Some people advise to choose a deeper sub-category page to be listed on as the queue may be not that long. But all depends on editors.

Yeah DMOZ is important if you can swing it but it really is a crap shoot...you can submit it and you might never hear a word as to the status of your website. Google does weight it significantly but you have to make sure you website is good, unique and fits the profile of the DMOZ directory.
