SSL Certificates and search engine placement

Here is a very basic couple of questions, was thinking about this seeing as I am about to renew my SSL certificate -

As there are several types of SSL certification, does the type of certificate your site has have any effect on your search engine positioning?? And if not now do you think it may do in the future? I see it that we are being pushed towards the new EV certificates and eliminating Phishing etc... so could this be a good thing and something that can add to your pagerank and positioning?
