The question is; when big money gets controls, do you believe this will be the the end of Facebook?

As the WSJ reported in a big page one story today, Facebook will probably go public in 2011, once it's had a year of $1+ billion in sales behind it. (The company expects to do between $1.2 billion and $2 billion in sales this year.)

When you aren't "beholden" to others you can be more free to run things how you want. But, when other investors start coming in, their demands will often trump yours and after a few years things can get downright ugly.

Big Money hasn't destroyed Google though. So if Facebook can don well with the implementation and keep the greedy hounds more or less at bay, they will be okay.

Thank you for the Excellent reply, I agree with what you are saying. Although in my Humble Opiion; I think, (please don't bite my head off for this), that Google are not as good as they used to be a long time ago, but then this is partly because they as so very, very popular.

The problem that I think facebook has is that for as many users that they DO have. Those users really don't produce altogether that much revenue.

OK, fine, GREAT business, wish I had it, but some people are saying this is a $78 billion or even a $100 billion company?

These companies have absolutely NO P/E ratio.....its all based on future potential, right?

They already have a billion people, the other 6 billion people basically don't have any money.....
