Introducing Myself

Hi Everyone,

My screenname is Nightcrane, i am from the UK and I work for a specialist engineering company that deals with Finite Element analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) using simulation software from ANSYS, a better explaination would be vurtal testing of all sorts of products within a 3D environment on very high spec workstations (38GB RAM, 9HDD, £3000 Graphics card, 2x Quad core Xeon processors = to 8 cores running at just over 3Ghz each core, water cooled etc), a simple example would be to test a car seat belt to make sure it works ok, or a man hole cover to test to make sure the loads placed on top will not break the steel cover. I am very please to have joined this web forum as it seems like a very good place for information regarding my job position, I am not an engineer, I trained as a webdesigner and currently undertake the tasks of updating our company website and doing all the advertising and IT issue with in the company.

Byronc: The software we sell is pretty awesome and can be very expensive too.... it's aimed at quite high end companies of the like of British Petrolium (BP) and manurfacturers etc.

Karen: pleased to meet you too, what do you do, are you a web designer or anything like that? I will be happy to share any and all sorts of knowledge I have, if it helps any one in any way.
