Exclamation How to make your own Firefox extension.

Even if some of you know my security concerns regarding open browser source code and browser extensions / plugins, I will draw your attention to this 10 Things They Never Tell You In Firefox Extension School [JavaScript & Ajax Tutorials] article that I stumbled upon today.

    the one
"Add a URL to the Browser’s History" is a bit concerning isnt it, especially with recent conversations here about how browser history etc is being used to id you these days...i am feeling like uninstalling most of my addons, i already had it in mind since adding a few recently and ever since been plagued by a mybrowserbar thing that i cant remove.

You see the sign of the post. Personally I am not so afraid of Bots and other software identifying my browser history. I am more afraid of the EU data storage directive that seem to be forced upon an associated member. I have always voted for the Swiss solution, but there I am in minority here.

You can make bots that kill other bots, block them and make bot traps. It is more difficult to stop the EU bureaucray / train .

Why was Kristen Nygaard our "no to Eu general"?

Did he see and understand things that we did not see and understand? I only ask without being too paranoid.

Do you need help with this?

What tool bars have you installed?

Thats interesting, i read that if interpreted literally, that EU directive means that almost all publication on the Internet is illegal.

Concerns Regarding the EU Data Directive

I also am not concerned about being identified by websites, it is useful applications most times, in fact as an affiliate i am all for better id and tracking methods of course. I can only see such a directive being applied to things like medical databases etc to be possibly necessary, the rest would seem to be a threat to freedom of speech.

Surprising. But what people (the news) talk about here is that data like SMS text messages etc. will be stored much longer under the EU directive.

And more than 90 percent of our internet traffic crosses the EU member Sweden's borders

    A releted thread: http://www.webproworld.com/webmaster...tml#post493959

How will EU control the Deep Web? I see one solution. Shut down the whole web

Is it a fight for information control far above our heads?

In the news some minutes ago.

Espionage against Norway is higher today than during the cold war. It is especially related to high technology. The news would not tell which countries rank highest on this list.
